Strategic CSR & Social Accounting Proposal

The scope of this research focuses on accounting's ability to be concerned with all stakeholders rather than just the firm and shareholders, which is detailed further below.

Project Requirements

Financial accounting does not consider all stakeholders and is a science and an art at the same time. Therefore, there must be a way to consider all stakeholders. My research  will respond to this dilemma.

I think that participating in strategic CSR is the way to consider all stakeholders in the most efficient way, which can be measured by social accounting (strategic CSR at the departmental level--accounting). The research paper will attempt to justify or disprove my position to the subject.

To do this, I will compare various reports published by different corporations that now try to incorporate strategic CSR to reports prior to incorporating the strategic CSR. Clear definitions for purposes of this research will be elaborated on. An in depth analysis of the facts provided will be given. The paper should also include any issues or obstacles that were presented while conducting this research.

Project Expectations

Upon completion of this research paper, I should be able to conclude the accuracy of my current position. This new knowledge will allow me to continue my research in the accounting field concerning cause and effect, ethics, etc. My end goal is to eventually be able to establish a general framework that will allow business to strategically incorporate a social aspect into accounting.
